Our pediatric immediate care is available at four different locations in Maryland, and our hours of operation provide access to late night pediatrics, when it is often needed most.

Do I need an appointment?
No appointments are needed for sick or urgent care visits – just walk right in! We encourage a scheduled appointment for your well visits and annual physicals so we can prepare for your visit and allow sufficient time for any questions or concerns. You might want to check out our current wait-time before coming in on the home page.
Are you open on holidays?
Yes, our holiday hours may vary, but we are typically open at all four locations 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on holidays.
Can KinderMender be my primary care provider?
Yes! To make KinderMender your child’s primary care provider, you will need to:
- transfer your child’s medical records;
- receive a review from your current provider; and
- call to schedule an appointment.
Please note that some insurances policies may place limits on who can serve as your primary care provider – if you have any questions please contact your insurance company to ensure that KinderMender and its providers can indeed serve in this role.
How can I schedule an appointment for a well child visit or annual physical?
Please call our office at 443-492-4000 to schedule an appointment.
Does KinderMender provide medication on-site?
KinderMender provides the first dose of medications, free of charge, to allow for families to get to their local pharmacy. We do not provide a full dose of medications. We also do not offer narcotic medications, and no controlled substances are kept on the premises.
What is “well child care?”
Well care describes any routine primary pediatric care, including monthly check-ups, immunizations, and developmental screens that ensure normal child development. Although many people assume that our walk-in-care model means we’re exclusively pediatric immediate care, we also provide well-child care and serve as many families’ primary care physicians.
How much will a visit cost me?
Most charges are covered by your insurance plan. Depending on the type of plan you have, you may be responsible for an urgent care co-pay, as well as any deductible. (A deductible is specified amount of money that the insured must pay before an insurance company will pay a claim.)
Can I use my Medical Savings Account (MSA) at KinderMender?
Yes, you can use your Medical Savings Account card to pay any co-payments or deductible expenses.
How can I get an itemized receipt for my Medical Savings Account?
Itemized receipts are available once your insurance has processed your claim. Call or stop by for a copy.
Do you close for bad weather?
In certain cases, we close for bad weather. Please call us before you come into the office to ensure that we are still open.
Can you provide my child with the flu shot?
Yes! We routinely give flu shots.
Do you see adults?
We can see adult patients younger than 30 years old for illnesses or injuries such as the flu, colds, ear infection, pink eye, and sprains. Please call us before scheduling an appointment to ensure that we have a provider who is able to see you.
What labs do you participate with?
We participate with Labcorp and Quest.
Hablas español?
Do the physicians speak any other foreign languages beside Spanish?
Yes, our physicians do speak other languages besides Spanish, including Farsi and German.
